Oreo Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (plus extra for garnish)
Whole Oreo cookies (for garnish)
Instructions:
Melt Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth. Let cool slightly.
Whip Cream:
In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Combine:
Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream mixture until fully combined.
Add Oreos:
Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
Chill:
Spoon the mousse into serving glasses.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
Garnish and Serve:
Before serving, garnish with extra crushed Oreos and a whole Oreo cookie on top.
