Caramel Apple Cheesecake

🍏🍰 Caramel Apple Cheesecake
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Whipped cream for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
5. Fold in sour cream until well combined. Gently fold in diced apples.
6. Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
8. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
9. Remove cheesecake from oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.
10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
11. Before serving, drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake.
12. Garnish with whipped cream and additional caramel sauce if desired. Enjoy this luxurious treat!
