Decadent Blue Velvet Oreo Truffle Bars
Ingredients:
For the Blue Velvet Brownies:
1 (4 oz) bittersweet chocolate baking bar, chopped
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Wilton royal blue gel food coloring
A small dab of Wilton violet gel food coloring
For the Oreo Truffle Layer:
1 package Oreos
8 oz cream cheese, softened
For the White Chocolate Layer:
10 oz white chocolate bark or chips
Mini chocolate chips for garnish
Directions:
Blue Velvet Brownies:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a baking pan.
Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped chocolate and butter. Microwave until melted, stirring occasionally.
Add Food Coloring: Stir in the royal blue and violet food coloring to achieve a vibrant blue color.
Mix Sugar and Eggs: Whisk in the sugar until fully incorporated. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Fold in the flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Bake: Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 44-48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Oreo Truffle Layer:
Crush and Mix: Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with the softened cream cheese until well combined.
Spread Over Brownies: Spread the Oreo mixture evenly over the cooled brownies.
White Chocolate Layer:
Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
Top Oreo Layer: Pour the melted chocolate over the Oreo truffle layer, spreading it evenly.
Garnish: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the white chocolate while still melted.
Set and Serve: Allow the dessert to set in the refrigerator before cutting into bars.
Prep Time: 25 minutes | Cooking Time: 48 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 13 minutes
