🍑 Fresh Peach Fritters 🍑
Ingredients:
For the Fritters:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 1/4 cups diced peaches (about 2 fresh peaches)
Oil for frying
For the Powdered Sugar Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
Milk
Instructions:
Prepare the Fritter Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder.
Add the eggs, milk, and melted butter, whisking until smooth.
Gently fold in the diced peaches.
Heat the Oil:
Heat oil in a fryer or deep frying pan to 375°F (190°C).
Fry the Fritters:
Using a long-handled ladle, scoop about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil. The batter will sink at first and then rise.
Fry the fritters for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Remove the fritters from the oil using long-handled tongs and drain on paper towels or newspaper.
Coat the Fritters:
For a simple sugar coating, roll the fritters in granulated sugar while still warm, ensuring they are coated on both sides.
For a powdered sugar glaze, whisk the powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the fritters or dip the tops of the fritters into the glaze.
Serve:
Serve the fritters warm.
These fresh peach fritters are a perfect treat for breakfast or dessert. Enjoy the delicious combination of crispy batter and juicy peaches! 🍑
